Maximize the Floor Space

We all dream of a big and beautiful house. However not everyone is granted the privilege to have one. Although owning a house with a small or let say limited one is not bad. There are so many things that you can do to maximize the space that you have.

To Hire or Not to Hire

Hiring a professional to help you in redesigning a certain room indeed have its perks. One of which is that you can be certain that the room will definitely look like those you see on magazines. However a professional can be a little too expensive. Now if you do the designs and decorations yourself, you can do so much more. You can design the space however you want too. When you think about its really not that hard especially if you are just planning to redecorate and not completely remodel the place. You can simply get inspirations from the internet or magazines as to what looks good.

Proper Storage is the Key

When it comes to small space the main goal is to keep as much space available to walk around. One thing that can be done is instead of putting big vanities or towel racks and medicine cabinets, mounted cabinets can be installed instead. For instance that you really want a cabinet try to look for one that’s not too big but not really too small.

The Color Choosing Game

They say that choosing a lighter color especially white can make a small space look big. Its true but admit it white can be a little boring sometimes. If you want to stick with white try adding pops of colors around. A bold print or design shower curtain or colorful cabinets might do the trick. Or try adding a couple of art frames to give the room a bright look. Then there is black. Most says that this is one color that is definitely not good for small spaces, since it can make it look to cramped. However if you design it well enough that instead of making the black wall the focus of the room, adding certain accessories or furniture can make it look really good.

I’d say whatever design or style you choose from is perfectly okay as long as it suits your preference and you are happy with it. At the end of the day it is you who will be spending time inside that room and not the designer so its just right that it should look good in your eyes.
